Project

The Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR), Lebanon, has identified the need for the design of a new temporary/emergency sea outfall to dispose the wastewater generated by the Ghazir/Adma catchment, and estimated to be 47,000 m3/day at year 2040.

The temporary/emergency sea outfall located in the Wata Salam (Tabarja) is expected to terminate few kilometers offshore. At the terminal end of each outfall there will be a diffuser section (s) which will allow effluent to be discharged to the sea to the right diltion level.

This outfall will carry untreated sewage and the requirements to meet particular standards will need further review during the marine modelling studies to ensure compliance with relevant Lebanese Ministry of Environment and the METAP regulations.
