A business development leader and seasoned environmental engineer, Omar has spent the last 15 years in developing the water and environmental business for KEC and its partners. His relationship management skills enabled him to grow the business, and to convene partnerships to deliver complex project needs.
He managed to promote KEC’s business in the Arab region and established an extensive network of government agencies, clients, industry partners, and technology providers.
A graduate of University of California at Berkeley (USA), Omar acquired his initial training in water and wastewater treatment and environmental engineering. His career developed further while working with a leading water and desalination treatment EPC company, where he led numerous complex water, wastewater, and environmental projects. His involvement as a project leader has added great value to KEC’s clients and partners enabling them to get greater returns on their projects.
Omar’s technical expertise has included participation in all stages of the implementation of various engineering projects. His experience includes feasibility studies, master planning, budget cost estimation, conceptual and detailed planning, preliminary and detailed design, preparation of tender and contract documentation, site supervision, construction, commissioning, and project management.
Omar’s technical background and primary involvement in water and environmental projects and in particular water and sewage treatment, desalination, hydraulics, environmental impact assessment, environmental management enable him to be the commercial lead of the business.
